How to identify fake and inferior connecting wires?
Connecting wire is one of the commonly used types of wires. Silicone wire has a soft body, high temperature resistance, and is suitable for extremely cold areas. It is cheap and easy to find accessories. Although it is easy to use, many buyers will find whitening and frosting after two months of use. Faced with this situation, many people do not know how to deal with it. Next, let's learn how to identify counterfeit and inferior connecting wires.
1. Look at the labels. The content of the formal manufacturer's production certificate includes model specifications, execution standards, rated voltage, wire length, production date, producer, inspector, factory name, factory address, fixed telephone, etc. The labels of counterfeit products are often printed unclearly or the printed content is incomplete.
2. Look at the surface. The plastic outer shell of the regular electronic cable is soft and smooth, with uniform color. The surface should also print several contents on the product certificate, such as certification number, model, rated voltage, execution standard, factory name, etc. Meanwhile, the handwriting should be clear and not easily erased.
3. Try bending. One end can be repeatedly bent by hand, with a soft touch and good fatigue resistance. Plastic or rubber has a strong and elastic feel, and the insulation of the wire has no cracks, making it an excellent product. The insulation layer of inferior wires looks thick, but it is actually made of recycled plastic. If you press it a little hard, the pressed area will turn white, and it will break after bending 4-6 times.
4. Tear the insulation. High quality insulation materials have certain mechanical strength and flexibility, and cannot be easily torn. Poor quality ones can be torn off or pinched off by hand.
5. Look at the burning. According to regulations, the insulation layer has a certain degree of flame retardancy. Stripping off the insulation layer, igniting with a lighter, and self igniting after leaving the open flame are inferior wires.
6. Check the thickness. Cut off the insulation layer and check if there are visible pores on the cross-section of the insulation layer, and if the wire core is located in the middle of the insulation layer. Not in the middle is due to the eccentricity caused by low technology, and the pores indicate that the insulation material used is not qualified. Severe eccentricity is most likely to cause leakage on the thin side, and pores also affect the compressive strength.
7. Look at the copper wire. The color of high-quality copper wire is bright red, while low-quality copper core wire is purple black, black, yellow or white, with high hardness. For multiple flexible wires, touching the top of the copper wire with your palm feels flat, without any stinging sensation, and has a soft touch. Otherwise, it is a low-quality wire.
