What are the methods to prevent connection wires from catching fire?

21 Aug, 2025

The installation of the connecting wire can be operated in the afternoon when the temperature is high. If conditions permit, the product can be "warmed up" in advance using equipment such as a heater to achieve excellent performance. So what methods are available to prevent the connecting wire from catching fire due to wire overload?

1. To prevent electronic circuits from catching fire due to wire overload, the capacity of the site should be accurately determined during the circuit design process, and the possibility of increasing capacity in the future should be fully considered to select appropriate types of wires. If the capacitance is large, thick wires should be used. The key to preventing overload lies in circuit design and rational selection. If the design selection is improper, it will leave inherent hidden dangers that are difficult to correct. Some small projects and site design and selection are not careful. Choosing and laying lines arbitrarily is very dangerous. The newly added electrical and consumer equipment should fully consider the original line's carrying capacity. If the original line does not meet the requirements, it should be redesigned and renovated.

2. The line should be constructed and laid by personnel with electrician qualifications in accordance with relevant specifications. The wiring conditions directly affect the heat dissipation effect of the wires. Generally speaking, the laying of power lines should not cross flammable materials, flammable materials, or stacks, otherwise it may cause poor heat dissipation of the wires, heat accumulation, and the possibility of electronic wires igniting surrounding combustibles, increasing the risk of fire under overload conditions; The installation of overhead lines in public entertainment venues should be protected by steel pipes to isolate the ceiling from the lines. In the event of overload, short circuit, or other situations, even if there are molten beads, they will not fall off to prevent fires.

3. Strengthen electricity management, prevent random connections, and use mobile sockets with caution. Connecting wires randomly, using mobile sockets randomly, is actually adding electrical equipment to a certain section of the line, increasing the amount of current and potentially causing overload. Mobile sockets are significantly more common than fixed sockets inside walls. If too many electrical devices are used for mobile sockets, the original wires will inevitably be unable to withstand them. Independent circuits should be installed for high-power equipment and appliances, and mobile sockets should not be used as wiring sources.
